Overview
Highly prospective with deposits and discoveries scattered throughout
The LDS Project is centred on the town of Lavras do Sul in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. It is approximately 320 kilometres, or a 4.5-hour drive, from the state capital of Porto Alegre. The Company, through its subsidiary, holds directly or indirectly, contractual interests over 37 mineral rights covering roughly 23,400 hectares.
LDS Project – Mineral resources at Cerrito and Butia, multiple new discoveries and over two dozen mineralized targets
Multiple deposits, discoveries & targets leads to geological variability & mining flexibility

Mineralization at Lavras do Sul does not fit neatly into any one deposit type or classification. As such, our understanding of the system driving mineralization is continually evolving as we receive and interpret new results. However, there is significant evidence to suggest that LDS has the potential to be on par with a very large, world-class mineral system.
The LDS intrusive complex is a multiphase intrusive centre that is surrounded by coeval volcanic rocks to the east. Geologically, LDS is in the far south of the Neoproterozoic Mantiqueira Province, a 2,700-kilometre long belt of tectonically and magmatically accreted terrains that stretch as far south as the coastline of central Uruguay and north into southern Bahia State in Brazil.
The most advanced targets are the Butiá and Cerrito gold deposits, each of which has a Mineral Resource Estimate (see Resources & Reserves).
Lavras Gold’s extensive exploration program on the property includes a detailed review of a large historical database, regional soil surveys, regional aeromagnetic surveys, ground geophysics, geological mapping, rock sampling, trenching, diamond drilling, and detailed petrographic studies on drill core.
