Lavras Gold is currently collaborating with the Federal University of Rio Grande Do Sul (UFRGS) on a research project on the LDS Project under the supervision of Dr. Everton Marques Bongiolo.
The project involves the geochemical study of major elements, and minor and trace minerals of propylitic alteration (chlorite and epidote) in rocks of the porphyry-epithermal system of Lavras do Sul, with a view to identifying areas that may contain higher copper content.
